Tammy Kantor is chief information officer (CIO) for GE Aviation
Prior to her January 2007 appointment, Kantor served as the CIO for Impact Supply Chain for Aviation and GE Energy.
Kantor joined GE in 1994 as part of the Information Management Leadership Program and worked at GE Transportation as a business analyst and black belt. She has held functional IT leader roles of increasing responsibility in the former GE Consumer & Industrial and CIO roles for Plastics and Transportation. Before joining the IM organization within Aviation and GE Energy, Kantor served as the CIO for GE Consumer Finance Europe, where she was responsible for the IM efforts of 1,800 employees in 22 countries.
Kantor holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Management Information Systems, both from Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa. Prior to GE, Kantor was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve as a Combat Medical Specialist assigned to a Combat Medical Unit.
