Paul A. McElhinney was appointed vice president and general manager, Services, for GE Aviation in May 2011. GE Aviation Services is a $8 billion business that maintains, repairs and overhauls GE commercial engines. The business consists of close to 8,000 employees at 17 locations around the world.
McElhinney has spent more than 25 years working in all aspects of the aviation industry. He joined GE in 1992 in its GE Capital Aviation Services business in Shannon, Ireland. In 1998, he was appointed as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of GECAS. He joined GE Aviation in 2004 as Vice President, Legal and added responsibility for Business Development in 2010. He assumed his current role in May 2011.
McElhinney holds an honors degree in law from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
McElhinney serves on the Board of the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport and on the Wake Forest University Schools of Business Board of Visitors.
