GE Announces New BizJet Engine Warranty for CF34-3B Engines
--SINGAPORE - GE Aircraft Engines has effectively doubled the warranty coverage for the new CF34-3B turbofan engine, which is scheduled to enter service powering the Challenger 604 corporate jet in June of this year.

The new warranty provides 100 percent coverage of new engine parts and labor on engines for 2000 hours, and 100 percent coverage on spare parts for 1000 hours. In addition, the warranty offers pro rata coverage of an extensive list of engine parts for up to 2500 hours. It also provides 100 percent coverage for troubleshooting, removal and installation labor, transportation, and daily lease charges associated with the unscheduled removal of engine modules or line-replaceable units.

According to Lloyd Thompson, general manager of the Small Commercial Turbofan Department of GE Aircraft Engines, the substantial improvement in CF34 coverage is a direct result of the engine's exceptional service record.

" The new warranty offered for the CF34-3B reflects the high confidence we have in the continued reliable performance of the CF34 product line. We have over two-and-a-half million flight hours on our CF34 engines powering the Challenger 601 and Canadair Regional Jet, and we fully expect our CF34-3B on the Challenger 604 to continue the high reliability standards we've set. We see this new warranty as yet another example of how our continuing efforts to improve the performance, reliability and quality of our engines translates to additional product value and ownership benefits for our customers," said Thompson.
