Finnair Orders 12 CF34-8E-powered EMBRAER 170 Aircraft
--EVENDALE, Ohio -- Finnair has announced an order for 12 firm, eight option EMBARER 170 aircraft powered by GE's CF34-8E engines. The value of the firm engine order to GE is approximately $45 million.
Finnair is scheduled to take delivery of the aircraft between September 2005 and mid-2007. The airline has the option to convert orders to other aircraft in the EMBRAER 170/190 family.
To date in 2004, GE has received orders for CF34 engines to power 60 aircraft. There are currently more than 1,900 CF34 engines powering regional jet and mainline fleets around the world.
