TRUEngine™ Program

A commercial jet engine is typically in service for more than 25 years and changes ownership at least once in its operational life. The engine's material content, maintenance history and supportability impact marketability and overall value as it changes ownership.

The TRUEngine program was developed in response to a growing industry need to better understand engine material content as assets are evaluated and redistributed.

As the owner of a GE engine, you want to maximize your asset's marketability and ensure it receives the full range of GE's world-class support.

Through our online TRUEngine database, appraisers and buyers can quickly confirm an engine’s qualification status by Engine Serial Number (ESN).

The TRUEngine Value

TRUEngine qualification enhances an engine's marketability and asset valuation by designating those engines as having known material content and by providing operators with valuable quantitative benefits.

Qualification for TRUEngine status is a two-step process that includes the customer declaration and a submittal of maintenance records to ensure the overhaul practices, spare parts and repairs used to service an engine are consistent with GE-issued engine manuals and other maintenance recommendations.

CF6 Benefits

Extended Parts Warranty

Complimentary extension of the GE spare parts guarantee; full (100%) coverage period to 6,000 Engine Flight Hours (EFH) for new parts replaced during a qualified shop visit. Guarantee applies to new parts installed at a shop visit occurring after the date the engine received initial TRUEngine designation and is transferable in the case of ownership change or lease, with signed terms agreements between GE and new owner or lessee.

Complimentary lease engine access details

If a TRUEngine designated engine is unavailable due to an Unscheduled Engine Removal (UER), customers receive complimentary days access to the CF6 Engine Lease Pool (CF6LP).

The more engines a customer qualifies increases the number of eligible events and free lease days per year.

GEnx Benefits

Content Assurance Guarantee

If non-GE-approved content is found in an engine after the TRUEngine qualification process, GE will provide a credit for equivalent replacement material to restore your engine to qualified status. In addition, as part of the qualification process, GE will not invoice you for incoming part clean and serviceability fees performed in-house by GE on parts removed from a TRUEngine qualified ESN.

AOG First Response Guarantee

If TRUEngine qualified, all engine caused aircraft-on-ground (AOG) inquiries to GE's Aviation Operations Center (AOC) will receive a first response within four hours. If a first response is not delivered to the Customer within 4 hours of the creation of an AOG inquiry, GE will provide the Customer a spare parts credit.

Life-limited Parts (LLP) Scrap for Cause Guarantee for GEnx LLP Services Agreement Customers

Uniquely for those who participate in a GEnx LLP Services Agreement, if an LLP part is not repairable and subsequently scrapped due to normal wear, GE will grant a pro rata parts credit toward the purchase of the replacement LLP part. This credit will be based on the amount of cycles remaining on the part and can be as high as 50% of the then current Catalog List Price.

myEngines™ TRUEngine Suite of Apps

For engines enrolled in the TRUEngine program, you can quickly access a wide range of digital services through the TRUEngine suite of applications including, instructional maintenance videos, and Service Bulletin (SB) compliance data to ensure your TRUEngine qualified engine is easily maintained to the latest GE-issued recommendations. In addition, GE will provide you with myEngines technical support and training at no extra charge for the length of the agreement.

Line Maintenance Special Guarantee

If you invest in SBs according to the recommended intervals, GE will provide a line maintenance guarantee that caps the fleet average labor hours at 16 hours per 1,000 engine flight hours (EFH) on qualifying maintenance tracked by the Customer. The average labor hours will be reconciled every five years, and a spare parts credit will be provided to compensate for the excess line maintenance labor costs.
