GE Engine Leasing (GEEL), a joint services offering from GE Aviation's services business and GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) offers many programs that reduce customer's capital outlay by enabling them to lease engines instead of buying them.

GEEL's operational solutions include:
  • Short-Term Rentals
    Customers can rent engines for one day or one year. Customers get the flexibility to cover unscheduled maitenance, a cost-effective means to bridge a temporary gap in spare engine coverage, and access to any engine type.
  • Guaranteed Spare Engine Availability
    With this coverage solution, GEEL guarantees that not matter when a customer calls, an appropriate spare wil be available at a predetermined location within 24 hours at agreed-upon terms. Guaranteed Spare Engine Availability solves the cost vs. protection dilemma.
  • Engine Exchange
    When faced with an immediate need for an engine and the cost of returning that engine to services, customers can use GEEL's Engine Exchange program to ensure their needs are met.

This service provides customers with the engine they need in a single transaction, while minimizing cash outlay. GEEL simply exchanges on of their serviceable engines for the customer's unserviceable engine, crediting fair market value price for the engine toward the sale price of one from GEEL.
