MTU Maintenance Renews CF34 Engine License Agreement to 2022

MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg (MTU) and GE Aviation have further strengthened a longtime working relationship with the signing of a license renewal for the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of GE's CF34-3, CF34-8 and CF34-10 engines years before the initial contract period was set to expire.

The original license ran through 2012. With the renewal, the agreement has now been extended for an additional 10 years—through 2022.

Among the best-selling in its class, GE's CF34* engine installed base is more than 6,300 units.

MTU Aero Engines' Maintenance group is among the world's largest independent providers of commercial engine maintenance services. MTU is part of GE's worldwide MRO network—providing enhanced reach and choice for aircraft engine operators.
