October 10, 2017

LAS VEGAS – October 10, 2017 – Aviall, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, signed an agreement with GE Aviation to provide management services for GE Passport integrated propulsion system (IPS) spares and line replaceable units (LRUs) in the Americas and Asia Pacific.  It will also manage LRUs for the IPS in Russia, Middle East, and Africa.

“Aviall’s scale of leadership in engine parts management and supply chain makes them a strategic partner in providing world-class support to GE’s customers,” said Brad Mottier, vice president and general manager of GE Aviation's Business & General Aviation and Integrated Systems organization. “The relationship we built over years of multiple engagements for CF34-series engine gives GE and its customers immense confidence in the solutions Aviall will provide for our newest engine GE Passport.”

This expanded relationship builds on several agreements already in place and makes Aviall the primary provider of spare engine and material management services for all GE powered business jet fleets and GE’s OnPointSM engine services program.

“We look forward to growing our expanding relationship with GE Aviation in support of its new GE Passport engine,” stated Eric Strafel, Aviall President & CEO.  “Our ability to deliver comprehensive engine solutions, supply chain management and global parts distribution capabilities provides valuable complementary business support and analytical insight for GE’s highly-respected portfolio of quality engine products.”

The GE Passport IPS will enter service in 2018 on Bombardier’s Global 7000 aircraft. It has undergone rigorous testing since its launch in 2010. When it enters service, the propulsion system will have completed 4,000 hours and 8,000 cycles, which is 10 years of equivalent operation. The Passport is built on technologies proven and refined on multiple GE programs.
