GE Aviation adds ACI Jet to its Authorized Service Center network for CF34-3 engines

October 10, 2017

LAS VEGAS – October 10, 2017 – GE Aviation has added ACI Jet in San Luis Obispo, California, as a business jet Authorized Service Center to support GE’s CF34-3 engines powering the Bombardier Challenger series. Its West Coast location will provide additional service and support options to GE Aviation customers.

ACI Jet offers a multitude of aviation services, including private jet charter, aircraft management, maintenance, and full-service FBO support. As a GE Aviation Authorized Service Center, ACI Jet will perform line maintenance inspections and routine installed-engine maintenance. This includes removal and replacement of engines and engine components, as well as repair and overhaul services. The authorization will allow ACI Jet to support GE’s OnPointSM engine service program customers, as well as its new engine warranty.

"GE Aviation is proud to welcome ACI Jet to our growing network of CF34 Authorized Service Centers,” said Brad Mottier, vice president and general manager of GE Aviation's Business & General Aviation and Integrated Systems organization. "ACI Jet’s ‘on time, on budget, outside-the-box’ service philosophy complements the promise of quality service GE makes to its customers.”

“Becoming a GE Aviation Authorized Service Center is an exciting step for our organization and customers.  ACI Jet prides itself on continuing to expand our capabilities and the services we offer to all of our customers—including our managed fleet and third-party customers.  Working with GE has allowed us to further develop this facet of our organization,” said Dave Jensen, Vice President of Maintenance for ACI Jet. “GE Aviation’s legendary and transformative CF34-series engines have continually proven their reliability time and time again, and we’re eager to add this new cost- and time-saving benefit for customers of both ACI Jet and GE Aviation.”

Since its service entry in 1983 on the Challenger 601 business jet, the CF34 has earned an industry-leading reputation as one of the cleanest, quietest and most fuel-efficient engines in its class. These rugged, airliner-class powerplants set a new standard in corporate aviation for reliability and low maintenance costs.

Across the CF34 family, GE has delivered more than 7,000 engines and continuously invests in product enhancements. Today, CF34 engines are in service with more than 900 business jet operators in more than 69 countries. CF34-3A1 and -3B1 engines have accumulated more than 62 million flight hours and 55 million cycles since entry into service.
