GE Aviation adds Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services to its Authorized Service Center network
GENEVA, SWITZERLAND | May 28, 2018
GE Aviation has signed an agreement with Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services (LBAS) to become an authorized service center (ASC) for GE CF34-3 engines powering the Bombardier Challenger series.
This agreement gives LBAS authorization to perform line maintenance inspections, routine installed engine maintenance -- including removal and replacement of engines and engine components -- as well as repair and overhaul services for CF34-3 engines powering Bombardier Challenger series jets.
LBAS has more than 220 MRO specialists offering around-the-clock support in Berlin and Moscow. Open seven days a week and with an Aircraft On Ground (AOG) hotline, LBAS offers customer support whenever and wherever it is needed.
“We are pleased to partner with LBAS, a leader in business jet maintenance, to expand our support network for the CF34-3 line across Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Africa,” said Brad Mottier, vice president and general manager of GE Aviation’s Business & General Aviation and Integrated Services organization.
Since its service entry in 1983 on the Challenger 601 business jet, the CF34 has earned an industry-leading reputation as one of the cleanest, quietest and most fuel-efficient engines in its class. These rugged, airliner-class powerplants set a new standard in corporate aviation for reliability and low maintenance costs.
Across the CF34 family, GE has delivered more than 7,000 engines and continuously invests in product enhancements. Today, CF34 engines are in service with more than 900 business jet operators in more than 69 countries. CF34-3A1 and -3B1 engines have accumulated more than 62 million flight hours and 55 million cycles since entry into service.
GE Aviation has more than 50 authorized service network sites across the globe for business and general aviation for M601, H80, CFM56, Passport and CF34 engines. This network enables customers to have access to OEM-quality service and support around the world.
