GE Aviation's Used Materials Expands Operations

Dallas, TX -- May 30, 2007 -- GE Aviation's used materials business has announced plans to open two new distribution centers and sales offices in Singapore and Amsterdam. 



The 30,000-square-foot Singapore center, which is scheduled to open in July 2007 in the Changi area, will support the rapid growth in the Asia Pacific region from China to New Zealand. The 50,000-square-foot Amsterdam center will open in August and support customers in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The warehouses will contain inventory of used serviceable aircraft engines spare parts and components to enhance material availability and support for customers in the region. The Dallas, Texas, facility will serve customers in the Americas region.



"These two new distribution centers will bring tremendous benefits to our customers around the world," said Jeana Quintana, president of GE Aviation's used materials business. "Our parts delivery time will be significantly reduced with material being strategically located and shipped from the distribution center that are best suited to meet our customer's requirements in any time zone/region. The three global centers reflect GE Aviation's continuing efforts and commitment to deliver unyielding customer support." 



GE Aviation's used materials business, a joint venture between GE Aviation and Snecma (SAFRAN Group), is a leading provider of used serviceable aircraft engine and related spare parts.
