GE Enhances OnPoint Solutions for Business Jet Operators

October 21, 2013

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA –- GE Aviation announced plans to further strengthen its OnPoint solution offerings for business jet operators.

Boeing Business Jets has named GE Aviation as the certified engine service company for GE- and CFM56*-powered Boeing business jets (BBJs). GE will offer its long-term OnPointSM solution agreements for engine maintenance, repair and overhaul to BBJ customers of new or used aircraft.

For the PassportTM Integrated Propulsion System, GE Aviation will offer an enhanced service program through its OnPoint solution agreements. GE will also utilize the latest prognostic capabilities of the Passport engine to proactively alert customers to any upcoming maintenance needs before it affects their engines.

"GE recognizes the unique needs of our business jet operators and we continue to evolve our service offerings to ensure we meet these needs and exceed expectations," said Paul Theofan, general manager of Commercial, Service & Support for GE Aviation Business & General Aviation and Integrated Systems.

For maintenance needs, GE Aviation offers service agreements through its OnPoint solution offerings. These long-term hourly agreements provide comprehensive coverage with predictable maintenance costs and OEM-quality maintenance and parts. OnPoint agreements are fully transferrable with no fees and are available on all CF34- and CFM56-powered business jets as well as H80-powered aircraft.

The value of OnPoint solution agreements is well recognized. Aircraft valuation companies estimate the residual value of a CF34-3-powered aircraft covered with an OnPoint solution agreement is increased by $2 million. The OnPoint solution agreement offers customers benefits not only during operation, but also in the resale market.

GE Aviation, an operating unit of GE (NYSE: GE), is a world-leading provider of jet, turboprop and turboshaft engines, components and integrated systems for commercial, military, business and general aviation aircraft. GE Aviation has a global service network to support these offerings.
