GE names Statewide Aviation as Australia-based H Series Authorized Service Center

May 30, 2017

ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA | May 30, 2017

Statewide Aviation signed an agreement with GE Aviation to become an H Series Authorized Service Center (ASC), providing line inspections, routine maintenance, trouble-shooting and warranty services on H Series turboprop engines and components from their location in Australia.

"As H Series engines entered service in Australia earlier this year, we're expanding our local service support network to provide the best possible engine service for our customers," said Norm Baker, President & Managing Executive of GE Aviation's Business & General Aviation Turboprops. “Our global H Series support network has reached 23 service support centers on 6 continents to keep our customers flying."

Statewide Aviation, headquartered in Moree, New South Wales, Australia, operates a full service maintenance center. The company currently supports over fifty agricultural aircraft in the country and brings more than 80 years agricultural aviation experience to the region.

The new ASC in Australia is part of GE’s long-term strategy to grow the GE H Series global customers’ support network. For Southeast Asia, Australia and the Pacific region, GE Aviation is further strengthening our relationship with TAE Aviation in Adelaide, Australia, our Designated Repair Station for this area. TAE Aviation offers heavy maintenance services, including a test cell and engine rentals for GE H80 engines. GE and TAE Aviation plan to provide full overhaul capability for the H Series engines within the next several years.

This week, GE Aviation will attended the Aerial Agricultural Association of Australia Convention in Adelaide, to demonstrate H Series value for agricultural operation - enhanced durability, maintenance simplicity and performance capability with lower maintenance cost.

The H Series turboprop family incorporates GE's 3-D aerodynamic design techniques and advanced materials to create a powerful, fuel-efficient, durable engine with no recurrent fuel nozzle inspections and no intermediate hot section inspection required for a multitude of uses: agricultural, business turboprops, commuter and utility aircraft. GE offers H Series turboprop engines with up to 4000-hour time between overhaul (TBO) for Agriculture, Utility and Business Aviation Aircraft. An extension program is also offered to extend TBOs for in-service engines.
