David J. DePauw Appointed Director, Sales and Business Development

EVENDALE, Ohio-- GE Marine has appointed David J. DePauw as Director, Sales and Business Development, for the company's aeroderivative marine gas turbine business. DePauw is responsible for leading the worldwide sales effort for GE's full line of LM marine gas turbines and services. 

Most recently, DePauw was Services Director for GE Marine, helping build the marine services business for GE Aviation. Over a three-year period, he led the LM2500+G4 gas turbine development program that included three instrumented engine tests and sales in four target markets: oil and gas, power generation, marine propulsion, and service upgrades. In 2003, as the LM1600/LM2500 Product Line Manager, DePauw used engineering and business skills to lead an LM2500 gas turbine cross-functional business team. 

As a Joint Strike Fighter and Turboshaft Marketing Manager at GE Aviation, DePauw prepared the customer, airframer and business case for investment in advanced helicopter programs. Previously, DePauw worked in GE Aviation business development. 

DePauw also gained product knowledge and customer support experience through nine years in GE Aviation's airline product support engineering, including roles as Airline Technical Program Manager for Southwest and Northwest Airlines. In 1996, he led the working group comprised of GE, airline and Federal Aviation Administration members to develop the Boeing 737-700 engine certification maintenance plan. 

In 1991, DePauw became a licensed professional engineer. In 1986, he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. Soon thereafter began his career with GE Aviation in its manufacturing development program in Evendale, Ohio. DePauw lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife Sue. They have three children: Joe, Jenny, and Julie.
