FARNBOROUGH, U.K. -- A new software application is enabling customers who provide continuous engine operating data (CEOD) to harness the power of GE's Predix platform to gain new insight into optimizing their flight operations. Called Flight Phase Analyzer, the application is being developed with extensive input from a group of airline customers and will be available via the myGEAviation.com customer portal.

"This tool is a step-change in speed and granularity, enabling our customers who provide CEOD to directly access their engine operational data and to discover new ways to increase their operational efficiency."
Flight Phase Analyzer uses continuous engine data to provide analysis for taxi, takeoff, climb, cruise and ground idle phases of flight. It includes the ability to compare operational parameters during these phases to global engine fleets, providing operators with a new perspective on measuring fleet performance. The tool also includes city pair and flight duration analysis to identify and understand areas of variation.
Flight Phase Analyzer is powered by GE's Predix software platform, which provides the data integration & management, as well as the analytics, cloud and mobile capability to accelerate product development and deployment.
