EVENDALE, OHIO -- LAN Airlines, one of the leading airlines in Latin America, has awarded GE Engine Services a five-year engine maintenance contract for the CF6-80C2 engines that power part of its Boeing 767-300 fleet.

"We are extremely excited about servicing LAN Airlines' fleet of CF6-80C2 engines," said Dan Heintzelman, president and CEO of GE Engine Services. "We are currently performing engine maintenance work for their CFM56-5C-powered Airbus A340 aircraft. This new agreement will enable us to extend our quality service offerings to additional aircraft in LAN Airlines' fleet. "

The LAN service alliance participants of LAN AIRLINES (NYSE: LFL), LAN PERU, LAN ECUADOR and LAN DOMINICANA offer a united spirit of reliability and charm that provides passengers the highest level of service and safety with the complete travel experience throughout the skies of the Americas.
