StandardAero Renews TRUEngine MRO Status

July 12, 2016

FARNBOROUGH, U.K. -- StandardAero has renewed its independent TRUEngineTM authorized maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) provider agreement for CF34 and CFM56* engines, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to OEM quality engine maintenance.

As an authorized TRUEngine MRO provider, CFM56 or CF34 engines overhauled by StandardAero are eligible for TRUEngine status, allowing the engine serial numbers to be included in the TRUEngine database made available to industry appraisers and potential buyers.

"Being selected by our airline customers to provide the very highest standards of service is a tremendous testimonial to our reputation for quality, service and value," said Rob Cords, President, Airlines & Fleets, StandardAero. "It's an even bigger testament when all the work is performed under our GE authorized TRUEngine designation."

"StandardAero is recognized around the industry for technical excellence and commitment to customer outcomes, offering perfect alignment with the TRUEngine Program," said GE Aviation, Services President and Chief Executive Officer Kevin McAllister. "We are very pleased to renew the TRUEngine MRO designation."

With the TRUEngine designation, engine owners, potential buyers, lessors and appraisers know an engine's content and maintenance history have been verified by GE or CFM, enabling them to more easily evaluate engine configuration, asset value and re-marketability. More than 12,000 engines are enrolled in the program.

Studies show engines maintained in the OEM configuration can have as much as 50% higher residual value versus those engines not maintained with OEM parts and repairs. The TRUEngine designation is provided on an individual engine serial number basis and remains in effect until the next shop visit. There is no cost to participate, and the TRUEngine designation is fully transferable.
