TEXL Completes Milestone 200th GE90 Overhaul

LE BOURGET -- Taikoo Engine Services (Xiamen) Co. Ltd (“TEXL”), a member of HAECO Group, recently completed work on it 200th GE90 and is on schedule to complete 50 additional engines by year end.

“TEXL is an integral part of the GE90 overhaul network, and the team there has done an excellent job developing its capability enabling us to meet growing demand in one of the fastest-growing regions in the world,” said Kevin McAllister, president and chief executive officer of GE Aviation, Services.

“At the 2011 Paris Air Show we announced a special celebration to commemorate the start of GE90 overhaul operations at our newly-expanded facility in Xiamen,” said Augustus Tang, CEO of the HAECO Group. “It is very exciting that we announce this major milestone just four years later. Being an integral part of GE’s MRO network has contributed to our success story. I am very proud of what we have accomplished, and I look forward to further strengthening the HAECO Group / GE Aviation business partnership,” he added.

In 2008, TEXL and GE Aviation entered into a long-term GE90 Branded Service Agreement (“GBSA”), which licenses TEXL as an authorised GE90™ Service Provider, GE90 Centre of Excellence and the sole holder of a GE90 GBSA in Asia. Operating from a state-of-the-art 38,000 square meter facility, TEXL offers a growing range of component repairs and is equipped with a test cell rated at 150,000 pounds of thrust.
