GE Aviation Achieves Outstanding Supplier Status from Lockheed Martin

October 29, 2020

Cincinnati, OH – October 29, 2020 - Rotary and Mission Systems recognized 27 suppliers, including GE Aviation’s Avionics Systems business in Clearwater, Florida, which was recognized for the third consecutive year by Lockheed Martin for exceptional supplier performance.

“Suppliers are critical members of our industry team, enabling production of the most advanced technologies for our customers,” Abby Lilly, vice president of Global Supply Chain at Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems told suppliers recently. “You achieved this award because you have shown your dedication to delivering on our customers expectation of perfect quality and delivery.”

GE Aviation achieved the Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Outstanding Supplier status after demonstrating exceptional quality, delivery and customer support performance for the data transfer systems on Sikorsky’s UH-60 Black Hawk aircraft. Sikorsky is part of Lockheed Martin Corporation’s RMS business.

“GE truly believes that our customers determine our success,” commented Sterling Leaven, Clearwater site leader for GE Aviation. “Receiving such a prestigious award reflects our passion and commitment of ensuring that our customer’s experience from a quality and delivery perspective is best in class.”

To attain the RMS outstanding supplier status, a company must supply best-in-class performance in achieving on-time delivery, cost and quality standards in 2019. This honor is based on a variety of factors from reliable deliveries, to the alignment of the business’ values with Lockheed Martin values. Most importantly, the businesses mentioned average 99% on time deliveries and zero quality defects. These small and large businesses represent the top one percent of suppliers supporting the corporation’s mission.

GE Aviation was one of 27 suppliers recognized by Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems business for achieving this level of performance for 2019.
