GE Marine’s LM2500 gas turbines now power the United States Navy’s new Littoral Combat Ship USS OAKLAND (LCS 24), which was commissioned into the U.S. Navy fleet on April 17. The ship’s powerful LM2500 gas turbines are Made in America at GE’s Evendale manufacturing facility, just north of Cincinnati, Ohio.

EVENDALE, OH -- Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: AAWW) signed an agreement with GE Aviation to purchase GEnx-2B engines for its four Boeing 747-8 Freighters along with a 20-year TrueChoice Overhaul agreement, which covers the time and material required to overhaul the GEnx-2B engines. The agreements are valued at more than $800 million (USD) list price over the life of the service agreement.

ST. LOUIS, MO. – Two F110-GE-129 engines powered the first flight of the Boeing F-15EX fighter on Feb. 2. The round-trip flight took off and landed from Lambert International Airport in St. Louis, kicking off a new era of performance and reliability for the United States Air Force’s most advanced F-15 fighter.
